I needed something simple to store and grab napkins and this did the trick. I also like the little curved opening which allows for reaching napkins when the stack is getting low…without touching the holder itself.Works in small spaceThe item is just what I expected!I bought this to replace our vertical napkin holder because the napkins kept falling from the ends. I like this flat napkin holder because I can fill it with ease and grab the napkins easily. It holds good amount of square shaped napkins and I don't have to fill it regularly. It seems to be well made and looks pretty nice.Just what we were looking for - simple!Normally I purchase square napkins but the last time I went shopping I bought rectangular napkins - in bulk - not realizing they were rectangular. Naturally, they did not fit in my square napkin holder. But, admittedly, these napkins looked really nice on my table. That said, I was eager to see how this basket would work. Suffice to say, it fits the rectangular napkins nicely, but it's big. I think this would work better in the guest bathroom with rectangular paper towels. For either purpose, it does work, and it does the job well.Like so many major events, the Pandemic changed a lot of things in our home and routine. For months, regular paper towels were next to impossible to find or afford. In desperation to have something for those quick clean-ups, wiping off dirty hands or cooking tasks such as drying meats or vegetables, I discovered that those brown folded towels like we used in elementary school bathrooms were available and affordable. Two years later the Pandemic seems to be dissipating and I'm still using these brown paper towels because they are so versatile. The downside is that I am not going to install one of those big, ugly dispensers on my kitchen walls in order to have the towels close at hand. I began searching for something nice looking to tuck them in. Eureka! This towel holder is the perfect size and wow, does it look classy compared to the clear plastic shoe-box storage container I had been keeping them in.This holder is black metal, strong and very well constructed. No burs or loose spot welding. It sits unobtrusively on my kitchen counter performing a simple but important function: it holds my brown folded paper towels. I recommend this for similar functions in the kitchen, bath, garage or craft room.Update: over a week of having this lovely towel holder on my kitchen cabinet. It does not slide or move when I pull a folded brown paper towel from it. It does not wobble or rattle. No burs or sharp edges. The longer I have it, the more impressed I am by its simple yet sturdy design.I got this for a party to hold the 4x8 napkins. I didn't have a holder for that size and didn't want them just lying there on the table. It worked very well! It held a 50 pack with a little room to spare. I like that it didn't have any obvious design (like holly or flowers or anything) so it would work with most decors and different parties throughout the year. It doesn't have a bar or anything so it doesn't hold napkins in the wind. I didn't want that even though I have used mine outside. If it isn't windy, it's fine, or just put a weight of some sort on top. I now keep mine in my cabinet to hold paper dinner napkins for my family to use. It is really nice and keeps my cabinet nice and tidy.
