I purchased the 9" version for my Jetta 2013 MK6 to replace a perfectly working RCD360 unit, which has a smaller screen. I don't love this bigger screen, but it's not bad as a cheap upgrade for your VW.The pros:- Supports wireless CarPlay and Android Auto. Pretty much well worth the money for this feature only.- Big screen, looks very nice. It adds several extra years of modernity to an aging 2013 Jetta.- Integrates with Volkswagen CAN bus seamlessly, you will get doors ajar notifications, parking brake, windwasher fluid, seat belts, and other notifications.- It's pretty much a watered down tablet with a custom version of Android OS 13. You will be able to download and run almost any Android app on the Play Store.The cons:- Glossy screen makes it very difficult to see content during the day. What good is an ips screen if you cannot see it well on a normal day. It will reflect the sunset if you're driving eastbound. I have a sunroof and makes it even harder to see the screen when I have the sunroof open.- Slow, it probably needs a minimum of 8GB of RAM to run apps properly natively (not in CarPlay or Android Auto). Google Maps takes a while to load.- The home screen is not very customizable. though you can download several home screens from their own app store.- Even though it seems to have a SIM card slot, it is not supported. So you will have to use your smartphone hotspot to connect it to the internet.In summary, it is a great upgrade for any VW Mk6. I will probably find a way to add a matte screen protector to help with the annoying glare and reflections. You might not have the glare problem if you have dark tinted windows.
